The Woodwork of Member Jim Hume

Jim, one of the original members of Artwood has a display of his many turned and carved pieces in the window of the gallery for February. He also has two rockers, one made of Yew wood and one of Apple wood. Many years ago Jim had a beautiful turned and carved  Holiday ornament that was 16" high, and was made for the White House Christmas. He was one of many woodworkers that had been asked to make an ornament for the tree in the Green Room of the White House. This was quite an honor for him. Most of Jim's work is done with hand tools which you will see when you look at the rockers. He continues to produce turned bowls, or vessels when he has the time to make them. Come to Artwood and see the display!
