The inspiration for this wndow came from cathedral rose windows. The classic cathedral window, of course, was very large, and had intricate stone tracery containing glass with traditional religious themes. My idea was to simplify the geometry and reduce the size to a small fraction, and to use wood for the framework. This window is about 3 feet across, made of yellow cedar with an abstract design in glass. It is featured in a rolling house I built a few years ago.
