This table and the accompanying chairs were made for a man who lives on Prince of Wales Island in Alaska. He wished his table to be made of local stone and local wood; and his chairs were to match an old but comfortable one he had. A sturdy trestle table made of Sitka Spruce timbers was needed to support the heavy marble top. Chair seats and backs are also Sitka Spruce, while the legs and spindles are Bigleaf Maple.
